Holiday crafts
Lately I’ve been on a crafts kick. I saw $5 pine cone wreath from the $1 store. Yeah yeah I know, it wsa more than a $1…darn inflation!

I took it home but it was too….too brown. So I went back to the $1 store and found 3 sparkled berry stems for $1.29 each. Man $1 doesn’t go very far anymore does it?

And for under $6 made a pretty good looking holiday wreath!

The second holiday craft was my farmers market $5 branches bunch. Actually, after buying them at the market I was having buyer’s remorse. So I went back to the seller with the intent to trade it back in and buy one of their floral bouquets but I was thwarted. A women stopped me on the way there and told me that she brought 2 bunches last week, put them in an old vintage tin milk bottle and couldn’t be happier with them. I told her I was going back to return them and she told me “Nonsense, take them home and you won’t regret it. I promise.” So I turned back around and took them home. I don’t have the right vase at home but made due with a glass vase and some decorative rocks.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I was inspired by Full Circle’s “Give Thanks” garland and asked all my Thanksgiving dinner guests for 3 things they were thankful for. Some gave traditional answers - friends, and family; others gave humorous ones - tv, ziploc bags, central heating; and a select few were pains in the butts.
Me: morning! name 3 things you are thankful for
Friend: ??
Friend: that’s hard
Friend: and random
Friend: why you ask?
Me: just answer. they can be silly. they can be somber.
Friend: can’t think of anything
Friend: i suck at thinking
I cut out leaves from some template off the web and wrote down generic ones on red leaves and answers from guests on yellow and orange leaves.
