I got three more ornaments in the mail! This is my personal “advent” calendar for the season - little surprises in the mail through the month of December.
This one is from Kristel in the Netherlands.
The third one is from Sarah in Austin.
The fourth is from Veronica from Indiana.
Remember advent calendars from when you were younger? What better than a little gift or surprise everyday! I was inspired by Brenda’s post about repurposing Halloween candy and created a chocolate filled advent calendar. It was super easy. Take any kind of cup - party nut cups were easy and they came in packs of [...]
So I decided on what to make for the holiday ornament swap. I did some research and decided to try my hand at mini stocking ornaments from a free pattern from little cotton bunnies.

While she did reveal that she started these last year and [...]
So the practical craftser in me decided to join cake & pie’s Holiday Ornament Swap. This way I can get 10 different ornaments for the tree this year. Woohoo! What to make…what to make…?
I decided a nice contrasting border would make it look better so I added one. In hindisight, it’s quite the Met’s colors…
I’ve been knitting awhile now and I’ve tried crocheting before but wasn’t successful at it. I decided to give it another go now that I’ve got a little more experience under my belt. Kudos to a great teacher…thank you Cara…this time around, I actually did it. Here’s my first thing…a large granny square. I don’t [...]
